US government picks Savannah River Site for 1 GW AI data center

The National Nuclear Security Administration selected Amentum to negotiate a phased lease for a proposed 1 GW AI data center at the Savannah River Site, supported by about 2 GW of planned on-site generation; the selection is not a final lease award.
